Why buy expensive warranties when Conns doesn't honor them.
In October of 2015, we purchased several kitchen items to replace our older ones. An electric stove, over the counter microwave, dishwasher, washing machine with pedestal and dryer with pedestal.
We also purchased the very expensive warranty plans on all the items because the salesman said it was a must buy. Extra charges for delivery, uncrate fees and taxes for each individual item made my purchase price much more than I had planned to spend. I have paid on my account for over 2 years, and I need a repair on the microwave that doesn't work. After scheduling a repair service.
I had to wait a week until someone showed up. He spent about 10 minutes looking at it and said it was such an old model that it would be hard to find the 3 bad parts he found, It is a General Electric 2015 model and that's old? After almost 2 weeks of trying to find out when it will be fixed, they told me they my warranty is void because he found a roach in the m/w. They said that he took a photo of it.
I informed them than I have never had any kind of insects in my house, and that he must have brought it with him and placed it there. I've tried to speaker to managers about this, but I only get their recorded messages that say to leave a message. I've done this twice with no return calls. Why should I continue to pay for an appliciance that doesn't work, and they refuse to fix it.
All my other warranties that I've been paying on are all void now. I hate to ruin my credit, but I still have 3 more years of payments.
Reason of review: Warranty issue.
Preferred solution: repair or replace microwave and make my warranties good, or deduct the cost of my warranties from my current balance..
Conns Cons: Agents for the service dept were not helpful.
