Conns - Warranty Means Nothing
We purchased a couch along with other items for our new home, we spent close to $6000. The couch was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks before Christmas.
The day before delivery Conn's calls and says the couch we purchased would not be available for another month, but I could go in and pick out another couch. I settled for a another couch...yes, settled. After having the couch a few weeks the mechanism on the right side broke causing the right side to lean. It took many phone calls, 2 visits, UPS deliveries to get the couch finally repaired in 1 1/2 months.
After 2 weeks of the repair the couch breaks in the same place plus the recliner part snapped making the right side recliner unworkable. I have called the repair line & Conn's 3 times since last Wednesday to get a repairman out to look at the couch so it can be traded. Today I finally received a call saying they will only be in the state tomorrow. No one is available to be home tomorrow so now we have to wait a month.
I do not understand why Conn's does not have a local repair company. We should not have to wait a month. What kind of company only have 8 to 12 hours to work on service calls in a metro area once a month. I have talked with managers and they are unable to make any decisions.
The customer service at Conn's is horrible. Never buy furniture at Conn's.
Reason of review: Warranty issue.
Monetary Loss: $1500.
Preferred solution: I want to be able to exchange my couch for a different model, since I do not trust the Bronson Reclining Sofa we received .
