Resolved: Conns - Very Dissatisfied with Recent Purchase
Today the Store Manager called me to let me know that she had gotten approval for me to be able to return the TV & purchase the upgraded model. Her name was Cindy & she explained our situation to her boss & once he fully understood the problem, he approved the return.
I went to Conn's in Port Arthur this weekend to look at purchasing a new TV. We finally decided an a OLEG, but it turns out it was their display model.
We were informed the warranty was no different, so we decided to purchase it on credit. The unit was set up for delivery the next day & was brought in & set up. After they left, I immediately adjusted some user settings & almost immediately noticed the OLED TV Logo superimposed in the background, which turned out to be burn-in. That afternoon, I called & made the salesman aware & I went beack down & ended up purchasing a much better OLED.
He wrote this up & scheduled the delivery for the next day. The next day I was informed they would not authorize the set to be returned/exchanged because it was a display model.
So even though the screen burn-in is no fault of mine & purely the fault of the store, they expect me to eat this defective TV. Well, that's not happening if if I must file a class-action suit.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $3000.
Preferred solution: Complete exchange for a different but more expensive model.
Conns Cons: Warranty fine print, Customer service.
Location: Port Arthur, Texas
