I was approved credit for $3000, with no down payment to be used within 30 days.5-6 salesperson's called & wanted me to make a purchase. After reading reviews, I decided to reconsider purchasing from Conn's at this time. Then I received a letter declining credit approval, stating due to credit history. My credit history has not change from the time that I was approved . I feel like this is an attack on my credit history/report because I chose not to make a purchase with in their allotted time.I think anyone would be foolish to buy from this business.

Monetary Loss: $3000.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Conn's and Best Buy are truly two different stores. The Best Buy associates are paid hourly and do not have the necessity to sell like Conn's associates do.

However, this doesn't mean they don't care. Conn's employees are required to sell to keep their job and gain money at the end of the day.

And to all that apply and don't buy, make yourself a favor and don't. Look around first if you must, and be firm when saying no if you wouldn't like to apply. But don't apply if you're not willing.

These associates must sell and cannot be wasting their time on customers that apply only for diversion.

And it's an installment credit. Research on that.

It's bound to expire people. It's not a credit card unless you were approved by GE.

Learn how to write a sentance. You clearly are an ignorant idiot like everyone else at Conn's.

I recently purchased all new kitchen appliances at the new Conn's store in Knoxville, TN. I too applied for credit online & was approved up to $9,000.

I did receive a call but it wasn't unexpected since that's what they tell you online to be expecting a sales rep to call within a certain amount of time. My husband & I went over the next day & made our purchase. Was happy with it then I decided I didn't want the extra 3 year protection plan & we went back 2 days later. The original sales rep that handled our sale wasn't there & a manager had to redo the contract.

We have had a great experience with them from beginning to the final delivery/installation. I have recommended them to several ppl since I purchased all of my Samsung stainless last month.

They applied you for both the GE Capital Conns Credit card and Conns credit which is financed through Bank of America. You were approved for the conns credit but not the conns credit card. They have two different types of credit :)

As far as from the employment goes, things are now far better than they were just a few years ago. The phone calls requirements DO need to change, as well as the requirement to sell $50K minimum a month.

If we, the sales force, do not sale $50K minimum we are subject to suspension. This suspension is a perminant one, so that when we file for unemployment it will be delined.

This is how the company gets away with not paying for the employees that do not make the cut. This is also a reason most sales persons are ruthless in the phone calls, and credit apps, and sales pushyness.

If that is true, you should them to the EEOC, and the labor board. I am a retired salesman, and this is why u should never accept a straight commission job. The only one who wins is the employer, not you

A straight commission job is a "no strings attached" for the employer, which means they can get rid of you with no obligation to u at all

I was also approved for $2700 credit line at conns and went to buy the item I wanted, no one told me I only had 30 days to use up my limit while I was there, shortly after I had several calls to go in and buy something else but still no one said I only hsd 30 days. Finally when I actually went in to a store to buy a stove I was denied credit because I didnt use it in 30 day.what a waste.I just want to pay off my balance.

It seems Conn's approves everyone for credit, right?

MANY people apply for credit to see if they can get it and go to the store with the intention of buying AT THEIR CONVENIENCE, not when the salespeople HOUND them. No, they do NOT have the right to continuously call people.

If the idiots would have hounded ME like that, I wouldn't have gone in either. That's ridiculous. They are truly CONn Artists and hopefully will be exposed Nationally very soon. By the way, Ms.

Use Your Brain, it's spelled "***", not "stuped". You'll love Conn's--until they screw you over like they have thousands of other people and then you will understand. MAYBE. And I don't see where he said he "loved" Best Buy.

Looks to me like he said he will only shop at Best Buy "NOW". It's not that Best Buy doesn't care, they do. They want to sell, also.

It's their job. They just don't do it like flesh-eating vultures.

The question is why would you apply for credit, hit your credit and do not buy, im sorry , but thats ***, and they have the right to call you because they want to sell, you apply for credit they are not like the best buy people who dont care. im a conns customer and i love them.

ant but the way if you love best buy why did you apply for conns credit ? dont hate me , but use your brain next time before you make a comment , in america and around the world thats called stuped.

It's sad that Conns pull this crapp on people. They did almost the same thing to me.

I was approved for $5000.00 I did mine on line. Within 1 hour time I received 4 phone calls. Asking when are you coming in to buy a TV? I stated to all of them, not sure yet!!!

Conn's called me on my JOB three days later. Hounding me at work that I need to come in now and buy a TV.I told the saleman and CONNS GO TO HE*L. And not to ever call my job again!

I will only shop at Best Buy now! They want hound you are make you buy something.
